DUBAI — UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash praised on Friday Saudi Arabia's role during Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman's historic visit to Britain.

"Saudi Arabia’s pivotal role was prominent, contributing to the success of Prince Muhammad's historic visit to Britain," he said.

Riyadh's success is a success for all the Arabs. The vision of renewal and moderation adds to the momentum of the Saudi role and affirms it," Gargash said in a tweet via his official Twitter account.

Gargash added that the role Qatar and Iran are playing in the region shows a state of desperation and a lack of resourcefulness.

He said that their attempts are flawed and desperate, adding that: "You can contribute to writing history like Prince Muhammad Bin Salman does, or be confused and forgotten, and in the second case, you better be silent."

Prince Muhammad’s visit to the UK since Wednesday was highly hailed by Britain. During the visit, which ends Friday, many trade, economic and other agreements were signed. — Al Arabiya English
