Hayat 1 School fetes award winners

– Al Hayat 1 International School, Jeddah recently celebrated the winning of five prestigious awards for its outstanding contributions in the field of education.

The school officials received the ‘School Stakeholders Awards 2017’ presented by AKS (Alert Knowledge Services) during a grand award distribution ceremony held in New Delhi. The school representatives received the awards and certificates of appreciation from Upendra Kushwaha, India’s minister of state for Human Resources Development (HRD); Anil Swaroop, secretary of education section at HRD ministry, and Dr. Dinesh Kamra, CEO of AKS.

Al Hayat 1 has been picked for the awards from out of 1,800 nominations from schools following the curricula of CBSE, IGCSE, ICSE and ISC across the globe.

The school bagged the awards in five categories: Abdul Aziz Valiyaveetil (best management); Anvar Shaja Vengasseeri (best principal), Jaleel P.K (best teacher), Ghouse Siraj (best student) and Imthiyas Hameed (best parent).

A special function was organized at the school premises to congratulate the award winners. Hassan Cheruppa of Saudi Gazette was the guest of honor in the function, presided over by Yahya Al-Shahlani, representative of the Ministry of Education. Dr. Hamad Saif Al Battal, owner and director of the institution, congratulated his entire team for the remarkable achievement. Abdullah Al-Misbahi, school’s operations manager, Padmarajan, headmaster, and Abdul Jaleel Palampidiyan, staff secretary, delivered felicitation speeches.

In their speeches, the award winners shared their happiness with the school staff and students, and thanked them for the felicitation.

Earlier, welcoming the gathering, the school Principal Vengasseeri noted that the school’s performance in both curricular and co-curricular areas was thoroughly assessed for ranking it for this prestigious award. Exceptional academic status, excellent teaching faculty, workshops and in-service courses for the staff, co-curricular activities for students, well-regulated school-parents association, strict adherence to the Comprehensive Evaluation System of CBSE were the key factors considered for picking the school for the coveted award. Abdul Majeed Perinjikkal, school’s CCA coordinator, proposed the vote of thanks.
