Kashmir Strikers win another last ball thriller

RIYADH
— Kashmir Strikers won yet another last ball thriller in the on-going Prince Abdulaziz Bin Nasser T20 Tournament, which is organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA).

Huraymala League

Kashmir Strikers won a last ball thriller for the second time in the tourney as they clinched victory against Kohsar. In their last outing, Strikers defeated Sialkot on the last ball. Fifties from Tahir (80) and Qassim (58) helped Kohsar post 206. Manzoor, Shabir and Sameer got 2 wickets each. Mushtaq and Majid hit 68 and 66, respectively. Manzoor’s final ball four ensured the win.

Riyadh Warriors Blue humbled Fast by 20 runs. Asif (60) and Abdulaziz (41) helped Warriors post 175 for 7. Majeed and Sulaiman picked up 2 wickets each. In reply, Fast was bowled out for 155. Tariq showed some resistance with 48. Feroz got 3 wickets, while Noman, Shahnawaz and Shaikh took 2 each.

In a low-scoring game, Lahore Badshah Green defeated Riyadh Blues by 3 wickets. Riyadh Blues were bowled out for 138. Sufiyan top scored with 34, Khader made 26. Atif and Sahib took 2 wickets each. Badshah chased down the target in the 19th over. Atif batted well for his 51 and Mirza contributed 28.

Sialkot XI lost to Al-Harbi by 45 runs. Al-Harbi, batting first, was all out for 187. Farooq (40), Salman (41) and Shahid (37) batted well. Amjad took 3 wickets, while Amir and Jamil picked up 2 each. In reply, Ali provided a good start with 51 but Sialkot was bowled out for 142. Fazal Elahi claimed 5 wickets.

White Star registered a thumping win over KFSH Green. KFSH was restricted to 152. Waqas (37), Shafeeq (33) and Mansoor (30) batted well. Naeem took 4 wickets, while Qasim and Ashfaq got 2 each. White Star chased down the target in the 14th over. Ashiq led the chase with 77 not out and Qasim supported him with 34.

PPF won against Fonte Star. Fonte was all out for 140. Safdar top scored with 24. Mudasir and Qaiser took 3 wickets each. PPF won in 19.2 overs, losing 9 wickets. Qaiser and Kashif played vital knocks of 45 and 42, respectively. Afaq bowled brilliantly to pick up 4 wickets.

Diryah League

Shadin Bangla defeated Karachi Dolphins by 31 runs. Bangla scored 204. Zarshad hit 38 and Raju 30. Shehzad took 3 wickets, while Aftab, Raheel and Ali got 2 each. Dolphins managed 173 for 6. Haroon top scored with 61 and Aftab mustered 57. Alam and Joni got 2 wickets each.

Royal Strikers thrashed Shaheen Stars by 98 runs. Strikers tallied 172. Salman hit 40, while Ali and Shahnawaz contributed 34 each. Ibrahim took 3 wickets and Hameed 2. Stars were bundled out for 74 in 9.4 overs. Waheed grabbed 3 wickets and Shahnawaz 2.

Riyadh Rhinos won a thriller against Pakistan XI by 1 wicket. Faisal’s 50 helped Pakistan XI post 172. Shabeer picked up 4 wickets, while Syed and Azhar took 2 each. Rhinos hit the target in the final over with contributions from Guhan (32) and Nouful (37). Abdullah and Faisal grabbed 4 wickets each.
