The services included documentation and execution of verdicts, in addition to routine judicial work in general, summary, commercial and personal affairs courts.

The ministry said the digitalization of work in the courts has facilitated the process of litigation, made it easier for the judges to do their work and has rationalized expenses.

The ministry said the courts held 952,000 sittings, including 228,810 in Riyadh, 244,793 in Makkah and 123,290 in the Eastern Province.

It said the courts issued more than 325,000 verdicts with the Courts of Appeal upholding more than 95,000 of them.

Almost 99.9 percent of the court procedures have been made electronic with the executive courts going completely paperless, the ministry said.

It said the executive courts received more than 337,000 complaints to recover more than SR127 billion and have issued about 530,000 decisions in this regard.

According to the ministry, the executive courts have issued 213,000 decisions, penalizing people refusing to pay. The punishments included imprisonment and fines.

It said the courts documented more than 480,000 real estate units and the notaries public issued more than 900,000 powers of attorney during the period.
