DHAHRAN — The Eastern Province Cricket Association (EPCA) tournament played under the banner of 40-40 Main League, sponsored by Al Turki, had some nail-biting matches in week 8.

Premier Division

SKFCC outplayed Karachi Strikers. KSCC managed to post 271 in 40 overs. Ijaz scored 115 off 120 deliveries, Asif Mughal and Imran Talib grabbed 2 wickets each. SKFCC chased the target in 39.2 overs, Rizwan Qayyum scored 63 off 66 and Faraz smashed 66 off 57, Ijaz and Waleed grabbed 2 wickets each.

Honda CC defeated Al Naimi by 7 wickets. Al Naimi posted 245 in 40 overs. Iftikhar scored 64 off 49, while Imran Arif, Ather Ali and Waseem Chaman took 2 wickets Each. Honda won in 24 overs. Imran Arif smashed 97 off 41 deliveries and Afaq scored 70 off 51, Yasir grabbed 3 wickets.

PSS Kashmir United beat Pan Gulf CC, who posted the total of 281 in 40 overs. Kashif Riaz made 61 off 53 and Zeeshan scored 51 off 38. PSSKU won in 37 overs, Waqas Bhatti scoring 89 off 94 and Hozaif 73 off 60.

Nawab Intelligent Tiger lost to SAQ Hunters. NITCC tallied 290 in 40 overs. Sohrab made fantastic 105 off 109 balls and Aamir Sohail scored 55 off 31. Azam Nazir Shabbir grabbed 5 wickets. SAQCC won in 38 overs, Abdul Qayyum made unbeaten 150 off 92, Rehan Bashir grabbed 2 wickets.

Prime Division

Bilal Tigers beat Emerald Ashes by 80 runs. Bilal Tigers scored 240 in 40 overs. Bilal made 67 off 69 and Asher scored 73 off 74, as Abushahuman grabbed 2 wickets. ERACC were bundled out for 160 in 28 overs. Ali Shahjahan grabbed 4 wickets.

Team Arabia outplayed DHL Express CC by 7 wickets. DHLECC scored 262 in 40 overs. Mumtaz cracked 65 off 44, as Nafsal claimed 3/29. TACC won in 32 overs, with Nibu scoring 82 n.o. off 78 and Nafsal making 75 off 35.

On Dot Freight CC defeated Team Enerco by 5 wickets. Enerco scored 266 in 40 overs. Kamran made 61 off 46, Parvez claimed 4/31. ODF CC won in 33 overs. Salman scored 69 and Parvez smashed 57.

Bin Delamah Yorkers CC beat AAC CC by 5 wickets. AAC CC scored 316 in 40 overs. Sajid Khan scored 155 off 125 and Waseem Malik claimed 2 wickets. BDYCC won in 37 overs. Brilliant century by Waseem Malik (137 off 100) and Renjith Smaghed 55 off just 25 locked the win.

First Division

Hyderabad Greens CC beat Gladiators CC by 2 wickets. GLCC totaled 268 in 40 overs. Shabbir scored 65 and Mobin scored 62. Faisal grabbed 4 wickets. HGCC’s Faizan scored 100 off 76 and Nabeel claimed 4 wickets.

Royal Kashmir beat On Dot Rhinos by 64 runs. RKCC scored 240. Junain scored 92 off 96 and Faisal grabbed 2 for 29. ODRCC were restricted to 176 as Danish and Mudassir grabbed 3 wickets each.

Khobar Blasters defeated BNS List by 9 wickets. BNSL CC scored 111 with Anfin claiming 4 wickets. KBCC won in just 12 overs, Javed scored 56 off 36. — SG
