IN preparation for the upcoming World Cup football matches in Russia, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – Saudia – will be operating season flights between Riyadh and Jeddah to Moscow.

Saudia will begin seasonal flights to Moscow Vnukovo International Airport (VKO) from June 12 (the World Cup begins on June 14).

The Saudi Arabian Green Falcons national team will play the opening match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup against the host country Russia on June 14 at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow. Saudia is the official carrier of the Saudi National Team and official sponsor of the Saudi Football Professional League.

The carrier will operate the route with a Boeing 777-300ER widebody aircraft, in a two class configuration of 30 seats in Business Class and 383 in Guest Class (Economy), for a total of 413 seats.

The daily flights will depart from Riyadh and Jeddah, operating as a split schedule with one departure daily from either city.

Unique packages are available to watch all of the Saudi Arabian national team matches — which are scheduled to take place on: June 14 (in Moscow), June 20 (in Rostov), and June 25 (in Volgograd).

Guests looking to book with Saudia to attend match games and support the national team, may purchase packages through ‘Saudia Holidays’ — the airline’s holiday package division. Package prices start at SR11,721 and includes four nights hotel (double occupancy) with breakfast, airport and stadium transfers and roundtrip airfare. Match tickets are $1,500 per person in addition to the package costs.

Hotels in Moscow can be arranged for 4 night stays, with a selection of 4 star hotels to choose from. Ticketholders traveling to Russia to attend the World Cup football matches can obtain their visas online by following simple steps once they have a Fan ID match ticket.

*Package prices offered by Saudia are based on double occupancy and match ticket prices are an additional cost to the package and are priced at $1,500 for the opening match, per person for Category 1 tickets. Match tickets for other games are priced at $850 per person. Saudia is currently scheduled to operate flights to Moscow from June 12 – 27, with flights thereafter operated in conjunction with codeshare partners. — SG
