DUBAI - All roads will lead to Dubai in April as the city gets ready to offer a spectacular musical treat to fans of Korean Pop music or K-Pop, as it hosts the biggest ever showcase of iconic K-Pop artists with SMTOWN LIVE, a global performance brand which is making a spectacular entry into the Middle East as part of its world tour.

'SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR VI in DUBAI' will perform at Dubai Autism Rocks for around 4 hours from 6 pm on April 6. The performances will include 35 artists with SM's superstars such as KANGTA, BoA, TVXQ!, SUPER JUNIOR, Girls' Generation, SHINee, EXO, Red Velvet, TRAX, and Henry.

SMTOWN LIVE, which started its first tour in 2008, was held in major cities around the world including Seoul, New York, LA, Paris, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok and Singapore. The concert, organized by 117 Live and Hyundai C Square, will consist of vibrant performances which includes amazing collaborations and an EDM section while enthralling audiences with a rich repertoire and a stunning stage production.

Issam Kazim, CEO, Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), said: “The incredible public response to the inaugural performance of EXO’s song ‘Power’ by The Dubai Fountain in January was a true demonstration of the popularity of K Pop in the city. With the target of achieving 20 million visitors by 2020, this gives us the opportunity to leverage the popular genre’s dedicated fan-base in the UAE as well as globally. We are therefore delighted that this year Dubai has been introduced as one of the host cities on the SMTOWN LIVE concert tour, which will bring performances from some of K Pop’s brightest talents to the region for the first time.” - SG
