JEDDAH — Pakistan National Solidarity Forum (PNSF) marked the 78th anniversary of Pakistan Resolution Day with national zeal and fervor at Salt n Pepper restaurant here recently.
Syed Riaz Hussain Bukhari, convener PNSF, welcomed the guests and community members. He said that PNSF is the only platform organizing Pakistan Day function in collaboration with Pakistan’s leading political parties and social associations included PML-N, PPP, PTI, JUI, JI, ANP, AUM, AUM, PRC, PWS, PWF, Jet Foundation, EWF and PJF and is following in the footsteps of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He thanked all participants for attending.
Eng. Abdul Aleem Khan gave tribute to the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal and Sir Syed Ahmed Khan in his presidential address. He said Muslims of subcontinent were able to achieve a separate homeland by great scarifies. Now it is the duty of all Pakistanis to work hard to make Pakistan prosperous.
He said that Allah has blessed Pakistan with great blessings. In this regard he referred to the report of nuclear scientist Mubarak Sumermond, who had stated that during digging near a city in Punjab, lots of precious metals and minerals were found. Similarly, natural resources in suburbs of other cities abound and are also available.
Chief Guest Najeeb ullah Khan, consular community welfare at Pakistan Consulate, congratulated compatriots on the occasion of the National Day. He said, March 23 is historical and nationally important day. He briefly informed about the services of welfare section. He also mentioned about services of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development government of Pakistan for the overseas Pakistanis. He advised all to visit on the OPF website to know about the benefits of OPF.
He praised the efforts of Riaz Bukhari for collecting all the political parties and social organizations of Pakistani community on a single platform. He further stated that “Whenever Riaz Bukhari came to me, he only brought the issues of the community and [pssible solutions. He never mentioned any personal issues. He also thanked Bukhari for inviting him to the event.”
Dr. Amjad Obaid, general secretary Pakistan Welfare Society (PWS), gave lecture on the importance of health. Famous poet Zamurrad Saifi presented national poem. Aqeel Arain JUI, Eng. Abdul Sabour PTI and Mussarat Khalil also addressed the gathering.
Earlier the function started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by Qari Muhammad Asif. Naat was rendered by Ahmad Zubair. Schoolboys Ali Reza and Rizwan sang national songs. At the end a cake cutting ceremony held.
