RIYADH — The Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) has completed the migration of its main systems to the private cloud provided by (SAP Cloud) making it the first government entity to implement this initiative with SAP. The initiative enables SAGIA it to have access to SAP public solutions through the data center in Saudi Arabia to maintain data privacy.
Mohammed Al-Harbi, Director of information Technology, said that taking this step is part of our efforts to enable digital transformation focusing on digitalizing services and achieving electronic integration between government entities which leads to simplifying processes and provide swift and self-enabled services while maintaining security and data privacy provided on Cloud model.
Al Harbi added that this initiative will allow SAGIA to have its own space on cloud environment enabling it to provide shared services to other entities and one the same time to shift its focus from operations to business enablement and innovation.
SAGIA has previously launched the digital licensing service, as well as the immediate licensing and auto renewal services, which aim to provide the best services and experience for investors and apply cutting-edge technologies in line with Saudi Vision 2030. — SG
