MANAMA — Kanoo Shipping, a business division of the Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Group (YBA Kanoo), one of the largest, independent family-owned multinational businesses in the Middle East, achieved a milestone of having all branches across Bahrain and Saudi Arabia upgraded to the new “ISO 9001–2015” Standard certification. The new standard requirements help to improve overall performance and provides a sound basis of sustainable development initiatives, which fits into the Group’s Vision 2020 transformation programme.

“Upgrading to ISO 9001 – 2015 in Kanoo Shipping branches reflects our serious commitment towards delivering sustainable excellence through all the Group’s businesses. This achievement came as a direct result of accurate implementation of the systems by the operations and support team in respective branches,” said Fawzi Ahmed Kanoo, YBA Kanoo’s Acting CEO.

Certification is required for doing business with all major clients. It is part of making sure that clients are working with a world class service provider that is able to maintain the highest standards.

Branches of Kanoo Shipping which received the ISO 9001 – 2015 upgrade are in Dammam, Riyadh, Jeddah, Rabigh, Jubail, Khafji, Ras Tanura, all in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as the branch in the Kingdom of Bahrain. — SG
