Kaspersky Lab ties up with SAFCSP to enhance infrastructure security

RIYADH - The Saudi Federation for Cyber Security and Programming (SAFCSP) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Kaspersky Lab to enhance infrastructure security.

On behalf of Saud Al-Qahtani, chairman of SAFCSP, Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, vice chairman, signed the MoU with Amir Kanaan, managing director of Kaspersk Lab for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa.

The MOU aims at establishing joint cooperation in the fields of cyber security and programming and related services as well as in comprehensive counseling and technical training.

It also aims at enhancing participation in terms of organizing general competitions, events and activities relevant to these fields.

The MoU is designed to attract and train local talent, provide training material and curriculum related to cyber security and programming, facilitate a training lab and suitable environment for developing local talent in the areas of expertise in addition to giving guideline and support to local IT professionals, developers and innovators.

Speaking on the occasion, Saud Al- Qahtani said: “This MoU with Kaspersky Lab will play a major role in meeting the Federation’s technical needs in areas of cyber security, programing, and relevant fields, as well as in strengthening the Federation’s IT infrastructure.”

For his part, Amir Kanaan said, “Kaspersky Lab’s goal is to continue spreading cyber awareness in nations. Through this MoU we will be able to extend our global knowledge and expertise to SAFCSP, which has been doing a phenomenal job in building cyber capabilities in Saudi Arabia.”
