RIYADH — Minister of Culture and Information Awwad Al-Awwad offered his condolences to the bereaved family members of the renowned Saudi radio broadcaster Ahmed Hariri. Al-Awwad called Hariri’s son Maher and his brothers Dr. Muhammad and Abdullah to express sorrow over the demise of Har.
Hariri died after prolonged illness at the age of 73. His body was buried in Makkah on Thursday morning after offering funeral prayer at the Grand Mosque. Hariri was a leading Saudi broadcaster, who had been associated with the Saudi Radio since 1963. He had to his credit several successful popular programs such as “On the way,” “What the listeners ask for,” and “An issue and a dialogue”.
