DAH marks graduation of 16th batch of students

JEDDAH — In an auditorium filled with members of the board, friends, family, faculty, alumni and staff, Dar Al-Hekma University celebrated the graduation of 384 students in the colleges of Design & Architecture, Business & Law, Education and Health Sciences.

The graduation ceremony began with reciting of verses from the Holy Qur’an by Sarah Al Atwi, a graduate student from the Department of Architecture, and Iman Ergesus, a graduate of the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences.

Dr. Suhair Hasan Al Qurashi, president of Dar Al-Hekma University, delivered a speech in which she thanked guests of honor and families for attending the ceremony and congratulated the graduates, urging them to do more to develop their abilities and their skills to raise the nation as part of GU alumni.

She also expressed her pride for the graduation of distinguished graduates of the Dar Al-Hekma University and thanked members of the board and founders for their support.

“Today, we are celebrating your success and tomorrow starts the hard work and unlimited giving stage to fulfill your aspirations. We ask you to make the most of any opportunity to gain more knowledge and science, we ask you to adhere to our Islamic and national values,” she added.

Banking and Finance graduate, Raghd Al Attas, delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates, in which she underscored the social life, skills and knowledge she gained from the university.

She also expressed her gratitude in her speech and said: “This ceremony marks the end of our academic life and the beginning of our foray into the corporate world. Five years have gone and memories will stay with us forever.”

Later, Dr. Suhair honored Munira Abdul Wahid, a graduate student and presented her with an honorary shield for being selected as the best graduate student of 2017-2018. Munira gave an impressive speech about how Dar Al-Hekma University was a turning point in her life, graduating with bachelor and master degrees. Her heartfelt message included a lot of motivation and passion for learning.

And in an atmosphere of joy and happiness of the students and their parents in an impressive ceremony, special gifts were distributed to the graduate students by TOUS, the renowned stylish Spanish brand in the world of jewelry, accessories, handbags, and suitcases. — SG
