The King noted that all these have led to a significant decline in crime rates.

In his cable, the Crown Prince stated: “We thank you and the entire personnel of various sectors of the ministry for this outstanding performance, which confirms the keenness of all and their determination to continue to work vigorously and relentlessly to serve their religion and country. All these have resulted in a significant reduction in the crime rates and raising the level of safety.”

Earlier, the minister of interior sent a cable of thanks to King Salman and the Crown Prince in which he detailed the positive outcome of the performance index of various security agencies under his ministry during the period from 1 Shawwal 1438 (25 June 2017) to 2 Shaban 1439 (April 18) while comparing with the same period the previous year.

The rate of premeditated murder fell by 6.5 percent while accidental crimes dropped by 14.5 percent. The armed robbery cases declined by 10.5 percent and theft cases by two percent.
