Thumping wins for Indomie, Islamabad Warriors

JEDDAH — Indomie Saudi Arabia and Islamabad Warriors recorded huge wins over Royal Challengers India and IDB KSA while Young Star Pakistan and AL MAX Sri Lanka pulled off thrilling wins against Careem KSA and IDB KSA respectively in the Centre Systems BBCL Season II-Middle East Asia Cup 2018, under the banner of United Sports Forum, at BMT Floodlit grounds.

Indomie Saudi Arabia piled up 194/4 in their allotted 10 overs with captain Mazher Abbasi scoring an unbeaten 62 runs off 25 balls (7 sixes, 2 fours) and Bilal scoring a quick 41 runs off just 12 balls (6 sixes, 1 four). Omar picked up 2 wickets. RC India managed 83/4 in 10 overs. Ayazuddin scored 26 and Faizan 24. Rashed got 2 wickets and Mazher Abbasi and Zarqan took a wicket each. Man of the Match: Mazher Abbasi.

Islamabad Warriors compiled 161/2 in 10 overs with Jani blasting an unbeaten 88 runs off just 31 balls (13 sixes) and Fahad cracking 42 runs. Saudia Gladiaotrs were bowled out for 91 in 9.4 overs following a destructive bowling spell by Rukshan, who took 5 wickets for 29 runs. Shahid and Zaheer scored 22 and 19 respectively. AL MAX Sri Lanka won on the last ball for a thrilling finish with Safran and Farsan scoring 18 and 14 runs respectively. Shehroz took 3 wickets and Zaheer 2 wickets. Man of the Match: Rukshan

Young Star Pakistan pulled off a thrilling win over Careem KSA, who managed to score 89 in 10 overs against quality bowling of Young Star. Zeeshan 18 and Israr 17 n.o. were the top scorers for Careem. Adnan Liaqat took 2/29, Abu Huraira 2/20 and Furqan 2/22. Young Star reached the target in the 9th over as Careem KSA fought very well and at one stage restricted Young Star to 40 in 6 overs. But Humayun 22 off 21 and Rafaqat 16 off 12 scored 38 runs in the 7th and 8th overs and pulled off the win in this exciting match. Man of the Match: Adnan. — SG
