KFMC honors TNTJ Riyadh for blood donation campaigns

RIYADH — The King Fahd Medical City, Riyadh, under the aegis of the Ministry of Health, recognized Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamaath (TNTJ) Riyadh chapter for giving continues support by holding blood donation camps since year 2004.

This volunteer organization conducts a series of blood donation camps and emergency blood donations drive annually.

So far the TNTJ has been instrumental in donating thousands of unit blood. Only last year, 2,271 blood donors participated in the TNTJ-organized camps and drives and donated 1,583 unit blood (712 liters).

The TNTJ Riyadh has always conducted these campaigns under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and in cooperation with King Fahd Medical City (KFMC).

“We are doing this service for the sake of Almighty Allah, and King Fahd Medical City has appreciated our services on many occasions. Recently KFMC Blood Bank Chairman Dr. Ammar Al-Zohair certified us as the only organization providing the highest blood donations, and this certificate was received by our chairman of Tamil Nadu state executive committee, Sheikh Abdul Nasser, during his recent visit to Riyadh,” said Raisul Kamal, TNTJ’s Blood Campaign In-charge. — SG
