MARK Henry and Mojo Rawley, two famous wrestlers in Jeddah for the WWE’s Greatest Royal Rumble, recently took a tour of the historical sites of the city to soak in the rich heritage before stepping into the ring to entertain wrestling fans.

The two wrestlers started their visit from the historical gate of Jeddah, from where the expert tourist guide Samir Komosani took them through the narrow alleys of the old city on a tour of the famous historic houses such as the House of Ba’eeshen and the House of Salloom, which is more than 800 years old.

They were amazed when they saw the old American Embassy in the historic city. They got into the spirit of things when they discovered the culture and heritage of Jeddah, and wore the traditional Hijazi turban for the par of the tour.

Rawley noted: “The historical city is beautiful this is my first time here seeing everything, this is really interesting, seeing the culture and the heritage and how much everything has evolved over the years, everything here is unbelievable.”

Mojo expressed his excitement in wrestling before the Jeddah crowd when WWE comes to the Kingdom for the first time. “It's (wrestling) going to be held for the first time here and we are going to wrestle in front of the Jeddawi audience, here in the Greatest Royal Rumble on Friday, for the first time. That’s exciting, especially for us and also the fans.”

During the tour of the historic city, Henry too expressed his admiration for the historical city and excitement in being part of the inaugural wrestling event. He said: “This is my first time in Jeddah, and I look forward to seeing what the crowd is going to be like.”
