JEDDAH — Young Star will lock horns with Careem KSA in the Centre Systems BBCL Season 2 Middle East Asia Cup 2018 final at BMT Grounds, Bani Malik.

Qualifier 1

Young Star triumphed over Islamabad Warriors by a huge margin of 69 runs. Batting first, Young Star Pakistan, riding on a brilliant knock of 55 by Waqas off 25 balls, posted 138-2 in 10 overs. Rafaqat scored 30.

Islamand Warriors was then restricted to 60-3 in 10 overs. Fahad hit 16. Abu Huraira took 2 wickets and Mudassir 1.

Eliminator

Careem KSA defended a low total and upset the mighty Indomie Dragons by 18 runs. Batting first, Careem KSA was restricted to 108-6 with Shams top scoring with 24.

In reply, Indomie Dragons started well but fell short by 18 runs as they reached 90-9. Samiur Rehman scored 32. Aftab was declared the Man of the Eliminator for his 14 not out and superb spell of 3 for 13.

Qualifier 2

In the second qualifier, Careem KSA thrashed Islamabad Warriors by 8 wickets to enter into the finals. Batting first, Islamabad Warriors were restricted to 77-6. Shahed was the pick of the Careem bowlers as he took 3 for 12 in his 2 overs.

Chasing 78, Careem KSA was home in 5.2 overs, losing one wicket. Shams hammered 52 runs. Shahed was declared the Man of the Qualifier 2 for his superb bowling of 3 for 12.
