The honors were received by Principal of Al Khozama Ms. Jayasree Muralidharan, the principal in-charge and Vice Principal of New Al Wurood Peter Ronald and Ms. Bushra Khader, respectively.

B.E.S.T. schools believe scouting, one of the greatest character factories, is so important and take conscious efforts to yoke the movements together with its students’ lives. The school’s scouts and guides legacy tells us that scouting and guiding in New Al Wurood and Al Khozama is not merely a program of the youth but a way to sensitize them about societal needs.

Principal Muralidharan congratulated the recipients of the Rajya Puraskar and placed on record their notable achievement. She wished them the very best while preparing for the next level of scouting.

“This is simply an outstanding record as this achievement of our schools is unparalleled in the whole Kingdom,” Ronald said while his counterpart in New Al Wurood Girls’ campus Ms. Bushra remarked that the awards are fruits of students’ hard work, dedication, discipline and recognition of their excellent work.

Scouts and Guides of New Al Wurood and Khozama will be attending the International Jamboree in Japan, the pinnacle of the scouting experience. Another group of 20 Scouts and Guides from these two institutions have already registered to be a part of the 24th World Jamboree to be held in West Virginia, United States. The schools ensure extensive training sessions for the scoutmasters and guide captains in all the major training camps conducted by Bharat Scouts and Guides, Kerala and KSA.

“My personal achievements in life for the last few years are mostly because of joining the scout movement and I hope to build further on the expertise I have gathered from it,” one of the jubilant recipients expressed the sense of achievement and happiness. “The movement created in me a sense of involvement, self-confidence, courage and a flair for social service,” he added. This view was highly reflective of the explicit essence and objective of the movement and the spirit of the pupils who follow it.
