JEDDAH – Preparations in the Kingdom’s major cities are complete for a series of Ramadan events that embrace Arabic traditions and local art and cultural diversity. A certain festive feel is already in the air in Riyadh, Jeddah and Alkhobar where the events are attracting visitors from far and near.

Ramadan Fe Haratna

This event is being held at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center between May 21 and June 14. The event celebrates the holy month and people can enjoy special Iftar or Sahoor food events and various entertainment activities.

16th Annual Layali Ramadan Exhibition

This exhibition is taking place in Nayyara Hall in Riyadh from May 19 until May 23. The event highlights the effective role of women in the field of entrepreneurship and brings together women from different backgrounds. Visitors will see more than 120 companies in different fields, including gold and jewelry, beauty, oud and perfumes, accessories, fashion, photography and décor.

Bisat Alreeh

This is an annual exhibition that has taken place in Jeddah every Ramadan since 2000. This year it is taking place from May 21 until 26 at Jeddah International Exhibition and Convention Center. Visitors can buy traditional thobes and Ramadan home decorations. It is also a place where women gather to drink coffee and socialize. The National Charity For Home Health Care organizes this event and any revenue collected is used to support the foundation’s programs and charitable activities.

1351 H

This is another event that is being held in Jeddah from May 22 until June 2 in Mersal Village. The event seeks to revive the ancient heritage of Saudi Arabia and introduce and educate young people on customs, traditions and professional crafts inherited through successive generations under the name "1351 HD", the general unification date of our Kingdom.

Ramadan Day Out

This event is taking place in Prince Saud Bin Naif Park in Alkhobar from May 26 until June 4. It was held last year and this year it features Sohoor Market, Fawazir tent and Qerqe3an, accompanied by educational and recreational activities.

Garage

Is another family event that is held from May 24 until 28 on Alkhaleij St. in Al-Ahsa. The event bills itself as a place that combines inspiration and pleasure within spectacular lighting and decorations. In addition to live musical theater, cuisines, and a dedicated area for fine arts, the event is an ideal place for gathering and social interaction.
