MAKKAH
— The story of Amal Al-Ghamdi, who discovered last year that she was a teacher at Al-Baha's education for 17 years without her knowledge, might have recently ended but a similar case broke out in the Education Department in Makkah. This time, a woman called Manal Al-Hazmi revealed that someone was being paid her salary without her knowledge for 14 years.

Manal's husband, Abdulaziz Al-Hazmi said his wife was deprived of working for 12 years and she never benefited from Hafez during this time period. He said his wife worked in 1420 A.H. in a kindergarten affiliated with the education department in Makkah and continued working for two years, before resigning in 1422 A.H. in order to pursue graduate studies. The decision to approve her resignation was issued in 1423 A.H. and her relationship with education department ended, according to the documents seen by Okaz/Saudi Gazette, and her salary stopped.

He added that his wife, after receiving her master's degree, applied for an education job through the Ministry of Civil Service, but "we were surprised that the system did not allow her to register, despite several attempts."

"We tried to register in Hafez and Jadarah but the system also did not accept registration. The suffering continued for 12 years, without reaching a solution, despite visiting the Education Department and several government bodies in search of solutions to the problem."

He added, "We reviewed the social insurance 3 years ago in 1436 A.H., and were surprised that my wife was listed as an employee in the education department of Makkah, and receives a monthly salary." He pointed out that he visited the education department which confirmed the lack of any data. He then visited the insurance and was provided with monthly deductions for 14 years. When he informed them of her resignation, a letter of instruction was issued, which immediately stopped the transfer of the money and the exclusion of her data.

Al-Hazmi wondered who received his wife's salary during this period from the Ministry of Education, and who compensates his wife for being deprived of her right to employment for all these years and disabling all her interests and demands.

He wants an extensive investigation to hold those responsible accountable for this act and to compensate his wife.

Okaz/Saudi Gazette tried to get a comment from the spokesman of the Department of Education in Makkah Talal Al-Radadi, who welcomed the query but asked to postpone search for reasons until Sunday, the beginning of the work week.

Okaz published the details of Amal Al-Ghamdi's case on Oct. 29, 2017. Amal is a victim of imaginary recruitment. She has found herself to be a teacher without her knowledge for 17 years.
