SAUDI Ground Services Company (SGS), the leading ground handling services provider across the Kingdom, has launched e-learning programs through its training academy on June 20, 2018. This is in line with the plan of the company's program to train its employees and develop them remotely through modern technologies for a number of operational programs, which were previously inaugurated by Eng. Omar Najjar SGS’s CEO.

Under the supervision of Mohammed Alshaikh, Chief Strategic Relations & Internal Control Officer, Eng. Ahmed Abdulhafeez, General Manager Training Academy, SGS said: “188 male and female employees from Jeddah station has joined the 4 major programs (as a first phase) through e-learning which allows the employees to attend the training session from any location at any time.” Then, they attend electronic test in one of the testing centers under the supervision of the academy’s trainers and training supervisors in the station. After the employee passes the test, the certificate will be sent directly by e-mail and the training information will be updated automatically to the employee’s file.

Tests started on 1 July 2018 in cooperation with the training supervisors at Jeddah Station. As a second phase, and within a month, e-learning will cover all major courses in the main stations of: Jeddah, Riyadh, Madinah, and Dammam, then phase three to cover local stations. — SG
