Saudi Arabia, OIC all set to host Afghan peace conference

JEDDAH — Saudi Arabia and the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) have completed preparations to host the International Conference of Muslim Scholars on Peace and Stability in the Republic of Afghanistan, which will be hosted in Jeddah and Makkah on July 26-27 respectively, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said Sunday.

On this occasion, Dr. Yousef Bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, secretary general of the OIC, highly commended the efforts exerted by the government of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, and ways to provide all means to hold this important conference, which will be attended by Muslim scholars from the countries of the Islamic world. — SPA
