Emir of Qassim to launch health projects

RIYADH – The Emir of Qassim Prince Dr. Faisal Bin Mishal is scheduled on Wednesday to attend the ceremony to launch health projects and medical programs and sign several societal partnerships to construct health buildings at a total cost of SR154 million.

These will be an important addition to enhance the role of the system of health services in Qassim Province. The ceremony will be in the presence of the Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah.

The Director General of Health Affairs in Qassim Province Mutlaq Bin Dughayyim Al-Kham’ali expressed thanks and appreciation to the Emir and Deputy Emir for their care and support for the health projects and medical programs in the region.

These have had a positive effect on developing the performance of the health sector and improving health services to patients’ satisfaction, with follow up by Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah.

Al-Kham’ali further said that the Emir of Qassim is set to launch the SR37 million Regional Center for Dentistry in Qassim. It is the latest health project and will contribute to supporting the therapeutic programs in oral and dental medicine and surgery in the region.

The 3-story building will have 50 clinics, a dental laboratory and lecture halls, apart from medical and administrative sections that will provide services to patients.

Prince Faisal is slated to oversee the signing of 7 societal partnerships with businessmen and endowment institutions to construct several health projects at a total cost of SR46 million.

They include the setting up of the Dr. Faisal Bin Mishal Bin Saud Center for Infertility Treatment, a kidney dialysis building at King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Buraidah, Awthal Health Center, Center for Treatment of Growth Disorders, emergency and intensive care center at Al-Badayea Hospital, kidney dialysis building at Al-Bikeiriah Hospital, developing the emergency room at Aqlat Al-Suqoor Hospital and outpatient clinics at King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Buraidah, Al-Kham’ali said.

He added that the Emir is also set to inaugurate the SR72 million Al-Gawarah Hospital, which will provide all curative and preventive services to patients. The hospital has been provided with all the medical and nursing staff to run all the specialist clinics in 10 specializations. —SG
