MCCI enters into data collection agreement to develop Makkah

— The Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) has signed an agreement with Islam Arab Consultant Center by which the center will collect the data and information that have econometric significance. The data will be generated from authorized government departments and private sector agencies and the information will be selected and verified to be used in Makkah development plans over the coming 10 years.

Hisham Kaki, the chairman of Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said this move is of great importance to advance work in Makkah. He also highlighted that the chamber restructuring framework will improve the decision making and the performance of MCCI employees.

“We are proud of this historic action which will create a substantial shift on individual and society levels. The Chamber, he added, continues to effectively participate in sustainable development of economic, financial, and human resource sectors through approved strategies.

Saud Arab from the consultant center stressed on the importance of this agreement to Makkah development plan over the upcoming 10 years. He added that this plan will include every economic activity in the kingdom. “We will have a separate plan for every economic activity in Makkah and other plans for projects of young men and women,” said Arab.

The plan to develop Makkah includes putting foundation to projects in Makkah and areas supervised by Makkah Chamber. The work, he said, will proceed immediately. The agreement and all its plans will be in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030 and Makkah businessmen views, Arab added.

The Key five key component programs in Makkah development include pilgrims services, national companies leadership program, General Investment Fund, improving the standards of living and advancing national industry.
