Singaporean violin prodigy to perform at Dar Al-Hekma

— Eleven-year-old Singaporean violinist Chloe Chua will perform at Dar Al-Hekma University hall along with Saudi pianist Iyman Qusti on Monday. She was also scheduled to perform at King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh on Saturday.

The two concerts are organized by the General Authority of Culture.

Chloe Chua has been a violin student at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), School of Young Talents (SYT) Strings Section, since the age of four. She is currently studying with Yin Ke, String Program Leader of SYT.

In addition to performing in public concerts and music festivals, Chloe has recently won the joint Junior 1st Prize of the Menuhin Competition Geneva 2018.

She has also been awarded prizes in numerous other competitions including 1st place in the 24th Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition (May 2017) and 3rd place in the Violin Group A of the 2nd Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians. Besides playing the violin, Chloe enjoys reading, swimming and skateboarding.
