RCL begins Summer Cup T10 tourney


RIYADH — Riyadh Cricket League (RCL) kicked off an off-season Summer Cup T10 Tournament 2018 in three divisions as Super League, Premier Green League and Premier Blue League recently.

Super League

Finfa Warriors prevailed over Run Riderz by 6 runs. Batting first, Finfa Warriors posted a total of 99 runs in 10 overs. Abdul Salam was the highest scorer with 34, while Abdul Wahab took 3 crucial wickets. In reply, Run Riderz Abdullah showed some resilience with his unbeaten 31 and was well supported by Bhasker (20) but failed to reach the target in the last over and were ultimately restricted to 93. Fayyaz and Sami grabbed 2 wickets each. Man of the Match: Fayyaz.

Premier Green League

Nizamabad United defeated Sagar CC by 8 wickets. Sagar CC posted 114-3 in 10 overs. Tariq made an outstanding 51 off 19 balls and was well supported by Gohar with his unbeaten 43. Farman and Mubeen took one wicket each. In reply, Shajji of Nizamabad United cracked a blistering 43 and was well supported by Mubeen (30). They easily hit the target with 4 balls to spare. Nayeem was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets. Man of the Match: Syed Shajjiuddin.

Gujranwala managed 126 runs against Kokan Green CC and the match ended in a draw. Batting first, Waqar top scored with 53. Adil Qureshi claimed 1 wicket. In reply, Kokan Green’s Wajid Javid blasted a quick 67 off 30 balls and tied the match on the last ball. Umar and Usman took one wicket each. Man of the Match: Wajid Javid.

Riyadh Strikers in their maiden match posted 103 against AHCSC. Atif blasted a splendid 48 off 21 balls. Muheeb and Adil took a wicket each. In reply, AHCSC’s Hussain was the top performer of the day with 40 runs and was well supported by Shafaqat (29). AHCSC completed the win in 9.1 overs. Atif grabbed 2 wickets. Premier Blue League

L&T prevailed over Pak Knights by 33 runs. L&T scored 108-3 as Jay Krishna made 42 off 27 balls and was well supported by Abdul Wahab (24). Qais took 2 wickets. In reply, Pak Knights’ Ahsan showed some resilience with the bat and made 19 but the team was restricted to 74. Jai Krishna grabbed 3 wickets. Man of the Match: Jai Krishna.

Pak CC defeated Yali CC by 1 run. Pak CC tallied 102-8 as Shareen Khan made an outstanding 38 off 20 balls and Yousaf hit 20. Gopi clinched 4 wickets. In reply, Giri of Yali CC batted well and made 36. Gnanadesigan contributed 28 in his team’s total of 101. Shareen and Mohsin claimed one wicket each. Man of the Match: Shareen Khan.

Riyadh Professionals got past Hyderabad Leopards by 6 wickets. Hyderabad Leopards tallied 131-5. Hussain Ali Saggaf was the main scorer with 61 runs off 31 deliveries. He was well supported by Ifteqar (33 off 17 balls). Umer took 2 wickets. In reply, Riyadh Professionals’ Anil made a blistering 53 off 25 balls and Taqi contributed 34.
