JEDDAH – The soft opening of the Shaza Makkah, the newest addition to the group of Shaza hotels in the Middle East, got off to an excellent start with guests who stayed at the hotel during Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr praising the luxurious comfort and the excellence of service.
However, a first of its kind feature of the new hotel which proved to be especially popular is the Shaza Kids’ Club where families performing Umrah or attending prayers in the Holy Mosque can leave their children to be entertained by educational and fun activities in the care of specially trained staff.
In the Shaza Kids’ Club, which opens daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., children from age 4 to 12 can enjoy their time by playing with educational games, draw, watch cartoons, read stories in various languages and be taught about the history of Islam. Children aged 3 are also welcome but with supervision by a family member.
“Shaza Kids’ Club is a signature feature of Shaza Makkah that is part of our mission to offer the finest service to families and children,” said Amjad Irshaidat, the country general manager for Shaza Hotels in the Kingdom. “We combine an educational dimension with a fascinating environment in which every moment of the kids’ journey is carefully thought through to create a truly memorable experience,” he said.
The Kids’ Club considers that the visiting children who will be playing together are of different ages, cultures and genders. Therefore, the club area is divided into six zones — the reception area, a library where children can read quietly or play board games, an arcade game room, a playground structure, an arts and crafts zone, and a baby zone for the youngest guests.
Occupying a strategic location close to the Grand Mosque in the new Jabal Ka’aba district, Shaza Makkah is the perfect destination for pilgrims. With 251 rooms and suites, Shaza Makkah epitomizes the essence of the Shaza brand, which is one of the leading luxury hotel groups in the Middle East. — SG
