Jeddah - The Southern Saudi border guards from Jazan, Najran and Asir have caught a group of smugglers attempting to bring more than half a ton of hashish into the kingdom.
The thirty-five drug traffickers were arrested by the Saudi border guards on the Southern border of Saudi Arabia.
Of the thirty-five individuals arrested, 14 Ethiopians, 13 Yemenis, seven Saudis, and a Pakistani national.
Col. Saher Al-Harbi, the spokesperson for the border guards said that this operation comes within the framework of the implementation of the duties of border guards to address the attempts of criminal networks that are engaged in the smuggling of narcotics across the borders of the Kingdom of land and sea.
