Dyson revealed cutting-edge technology at an exclusive event on 17th of September in Dubai. Dyson unveiled the new Cyclone V10 cord-free vacuum comprising of the fastest and most advanced Dyson digital motor, spinning at up to 125,000 rpm and the new Dyson Pure Cool purifying fan with a new LCD display that reports pollutants in the home in real time, and then reacts automatically using a unique Dyson algorithm.

Dyson’s team along with senior engineers revealed the products and shared in-depth details about the new technology at the press conference. The team reinstated that Dyson products are engineered to work towards providing cleaner homes in the most efficient way possible. In a mini-video a focus group that tested out the new products in their Dubai homes shared their experiences and rave reviews for the V10. Dyson has over 25 years of experience and expertise in HEPA filtration and filter media and has its own in-house microbiology lab.

Dyson is constantly developing new technologies including power systems, motors, vision systems, filtration systems, robotics, machine learning, and AI.

Introducing The Dyson Cyclone V10 cord-free vacuum

• In 2009, Dyson introduced the Dyson digital motor V2, spinning at 104,000rpm and weighing just 150g. Last year Dyson has manufactured 40 million high-speed digital motors on their in-house automated production lines and to date has been granted 934 motor patents globally.

• The new Dyson digital motor V10 weighs 125g and spins 2,000 times a second, making it Dyson’s fastest digital motor ever. Compared to Dyson’s first generation motor, the Dyson digital motor V2, the Dyson digital motor V10’s power to weight ratio has increased over three times. Dyson has been researching and developing motor technology for over a decade.

• The Dyson digital motor V10 is intelligent and continually adjusts to maintain maximum performance: it knows its altitude, the barometric pressure, temperature and can work out the weather. Using its pressure sensors, it knows whether you are upstairs or downstairs. In fact, it is so sensitive it knows the altitude difference between the table and the floor. It uses this information to make minute adjustments to deliver constant performance at different air pressures. It will give the same high performance whether you are in a high altitude city like Mexico City or a low lying city like Amsterdam.

• To manufacture this motor Dyson engineers have developed a brand new and fully automated manufacturing processes in Dyson’s advanced manufacturing plants in Singapore and the Philippines. 300 autonomous robots assemble our Dyson digital motors across six lines. Equipped with 3D vision, the robots can see and interpret what’s happening in the production line and intelligently wire the motor in just a few seconds, whilst also checking the quality.

About Dyson Pure Cool purifying fans:

• Dyson first entered the purifying fan category in 2015 in response to the increasing global problem of indoor air pollution.

• Dyson has continued to pioneer purifying fans globally, leading new test method development in China, the world’s largest market for air purifiers. In January 2018, China’s Household Appliance Standard and Technology Industry Alliance released the first accreditation for intelligent air purifying fans – featuring the POLAR test first developed on Dyson’s UK Technology Campus.

• £22m invested on new test labs, engineering research & development, prototypes, connectivity research and protecting IP.

• 75 engineers spread over 6 countries developed 2605 prototypes of the machine and sub-assemblies during development.
