RIYADH
— Saudi courts held over 170,000 hearings in the past 30 days, which is an increase by 27 percent compared to the same period of last year when around 134,000 hearings were held, according to the Business Intelligence Platform at the Ministry of Justice.

Judicial procedures have recently witnessed a remarkable progress following digitization of litigation channels, making operations easier for the ministry’s clients and staff alike, and enabling swift completion of tasks and determination of cases within an institutional framework.

According to the ministry’s platform, the hearings covered several types of cases, including financial claims, marriage annulment, alimony, child custody and visitation, estate division, rent collection, traffic cases, enforcement disputes, insolvency, check enforcement, sale and construction.
