JEDDAH -- The Kingdom’s judiciary enjoys full independence and will deal with the Khashoggi incident that took place on a

Saudi sovereign territory according to Saudi regulations, said the Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Dr. Waleed Bin Muhammad Al-Samaani on Saturday.

He stressed to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that the case will take its course in line with the regulations and procedures followed in the Kingdom. It will reach the courts after all requirements to hear the case are completed, he said.

Al-Samaani said: “Achieving justice has always been the Kingdom’s foremost policy and it will never divert from this course. This has always been one of its main pillars throughout history.”

“The judiciary in Saudi Arabia is founded on the principles of the Islamic Shariah and values of justice. The Kingdom’s main goal is to implement the Shariah that stipulates establishing justice and consolidating the values of justice.

“The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman are the main supporters of the judiciary to counter anyone who tries to harm the nation and infringe upon citizens’ rights,” Al-Samaani asserted.

The Minister of Justice stressed that the Kingdom will continue on its course and will not waver from achieving justice despite the hostile and prejudiced campaigns being waged by reckless media that lack professionalism and credibility.

“Taking to task any negligent person, whoever he might be, is not mere words, but they are actual actions being implemented (on the ground) by the Kingdom. There are many proofs in this regard,” he affirmed.
