27 young Saudis attend workshop for tourist guides in Buraidah

BURAIDAH —
As many as 27 male and female Saudis finished a training workshop for tour guides organized by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) in the region.

The head of the SCTH’s branch in Al-Qassim, Ibrahim Al-Mushaigeh, said the workshop targeted men and women and attendance was required to obtain a license to work as a tour guide.

The workshop witnessed a high turnout of males and females who desired to work in the tourism sector.

Al-Mushaigeh said the workshop included theoretical and practical training on basic skills needed for a tour guide to handle groups of tourists.

The workshop focused on communication skills and dissemination of valuable information about the tourism sites to the visitors.
