RIYADH — The Public Prosecutor on Thursday said that a Turkish report has found that the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul earlier this month was premeditated, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
“The Public Prosecution received information from the Turkish side through the Joint Working Team between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Turkey indicating that the suspects in the incident had committed their act with a premeditated intention,” the Public Prosecutor said in a statement.
“The Public Prosecution continues its investigations in the light of what it has received and the results of its investigations to reach the facts and complete the course of justice,” the statement added.
Saudi Arabia said last Saturday that 18 people were arrested over the killing of Khashoggi. — SG/SPA
