AJM for Insurance Services announced signing a memorandum of understanding with the General Directorate of Civil Defense for inspecting vehicle damages resulting from natural disasters.

The agreement was signed last Nov. 12 at the General Directorate of Civil Defense headquarters in Riyadh, and was represented by Ibrahim Al Mahboub, Acting CEO of Najm for Insurance Services, and Major General Dr. Hamoud Al Faraj, Assistant General Director of the Civil Defense.

Natural disasters such as flood or heavy winds can cause serious damages to the vehicles and under this agreement, a specialized surveyor from Najm will inspect vehicle damages resulting from natural disasters, only in the cities where the company operates.

Whereas vehicle damages caused by natural disasters which result in injury or death, or cases where affected beneficiaries do not own an insurance policy issued in-line with international insurance systems and procedures applicable in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will be excluded from this agreement,

Major General Dr. Hamoud Al Faraj stressed the importance of this agreement, saying it aims to enhance cooperation efforts for traffic support in the Kingdom and speed-up procedures for affected citizens and residents.

Ibrahim Al Mahboub expressed the company’s keenness to build strong and strategic relations with the Civil Defense to provide support during disaster response efforts through case inspection, documentation, and reporting.

He added Najm for Insurance Services will utilize its full potential and expertise to fulfill the roles and responsibilities outlined in this agreement.— SG
