Misk, GSA sign deal to raise society practicing sport

RIYADH - The General Sports Authority, represented by the Saudi Federation for Community Sports, signed a cooperation agreement with Misk Charity Foundation. Princess Reema Bint Bandar, chairperson of the Saudi Federation for Community Sports, and Mohammed Al-Assaker, chairman of the board of the foundation, inked the deal at a ceremony held on the sidelines of Misk Global Forum at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh on Wednesday.

The agreement aims at improving the quality of life of citizens and expatriates to achieve a society practicing sports and outstanding competitive sports. It also seeks to enhance cooperation in achieving the support required to implement programs and activities that help spread the culture of sport and target all segments of society to achieve the goals of Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in this respect.

This will be through cooperation of the two parties in setting up of initiatives as well as organizing events and programs such as sports scholarships, sports training, summer programs for students and preparatory workshops for universities. -- SG/SPA
