RIYADH — Minister of Media Dr. Awwad Al-Awad met with a media delegation from South and East Asia, including journalists and media professionals from Pakistan, India and Indonesia, here on Saturday.

During the meeting, Al-Awwad stressed the importance of strengthening the strong historical relations between Saudi Arabia and the three countries, especially in the media fields.

He pointed out that the future would witness more cooperation in the media fields and the exchange of media, cultural and artistic delegations between the Kingdom and these three countries.

The members of the media delegation confirmed their support to Saudi Arabia in the face of the unjust media attacks, pointing out that the recent statement of the public prosecutor issued Thursday on the results of investigations into the death of citizen Jamal Khashoggi, reflects the Kingdom's keenness to reveal the truth, following a fair and transparent probe and seeking to punish those involved in the crime.

They also confirmed that the statement put a brake on anyone attempting to politicize the case. — SPA
