Overjoyed citizens greet King in Tabuk

TABUK -
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman attended on Monday night the public reception by citizens on the occasion of his historic visit to the Tabuk region, the Gateway to the North.

Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, was also present at the grand reception held at King Khalid Sports City in Tabuk.

Upon arrival at the venue of the function, the King was received by Prince Fahd Bin Sultan, emir of Tabuk.

The Monarch waved at the people of Tabuk who gathered at the stadium to greet him. He then watched on a huge screen colorful welcome procession with the participation of children, young men and women, as well as elders.

Prince Fahd Bin Sultan, and Fuad Al-Ghoraid, who represented the citizens of Tabuk, spoke on the occasion, welcoming the Monarch to the region.

Poets – Ghazi Al-Balwi and Muslim Al-Atawi - recited poems. An operetta was performed and it was followed by the staging of traditional Ardah sword dance.

The King will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several development projects during the first leg of his tour to the northern region that will also take him to Al-Jouf and Northern Border Region.

The King embarked on his regional tour with a visit to Al-Qassim and Hail regions in the first week of November.

On the auspicious occasion of the visit, King Salman ordered the release of all insolvent Saudi prisoners whose financial obligations do not exceed SR1 million in the region. The King will bear the expense to settle dues of those prisoners who are not convicted of any criminal offenses.
