MANAMA - Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, held wide ranging talks with King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain at Sakhir Air Base on Sunday evening.
At the outset of the meeting, King Hamad welcomed the Crown Prince to Bahrain, expressing happiness on the visit and the distinguished deep-rooted historic relations between the two countries and their peoples.
King Hamad decorated the Crown Prince with the Order of Sheikh Isa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa of the Exceptional Class in recognition of his efforts in supporting and strengthening the Saudi and Bahrain relations.
During the talks, King Hamad and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation in various fields and ways to further enhance them. They also discussed the latest developments on the regional and global arenas and the efforts exerted in handling them.
The King hosted a dinner in honor of the Crown Prince and the accompanying delegation.
The talks were also attended by Bahrain’s Prime Minister Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa, and Crown Prince and First Deputy Prime Minister Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
Upon arrival in Bahrain, the Crown Prince was received at the airport by King Hamad and high ranking officials.
Earlier, the Crown Prince was seen off at Abu Dhabi Airport by Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and other senior officials.
In his cable sent to UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince said the “visit to our second country, the United Arab Emirates, comes within the framework of the distinguished and special fraternal relations that bind our two countries and the peoples, and the common desire to deepen cooperation in all fields under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.”
The crown prince then congratulated Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed on the successful organization of the Formula One Grand Prix at the Yas Marina Circuit in its 10th edition being held in Abu Dhabi.
“The visit underscored the special relations between our two countries, peoples and the common desire to strengthen them in all fields under the leadership of King Salman and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan,” the cable carried by Saudi Press Agency read.
