RIYADH — Lalla Malika Issoufou, the first lady of Niger, visited the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) on Tuesday, where she met with Assistant Supervisor General of Operations and Programs Ahmed Al-Baiz, and other KSrelief officials.
The first lady toured the KSrelief headquarters and learned about the center’s humanitarian efforts in 42 crisis-ridden countries. She expressed her pleasure at visiting the center and thanked KSrelief for providing food aid including tons of dates, medical supplies and camping items to drought-affected residents of Niger’s Diffa region.
On March 2018, KSrelief distributed shelter and food aid, including 6,600 food baskets weighing 489 tons and 1,100 tents, in Diffa.
KSrelief’s mission is to alleviate the suffering of all in need. The center works with local and international humanitarian partners to ensure that comprehensive, impartial assistance is delivered to those who are most in need of help. — SG
