BUENOS AIRES — World leaders welcomed Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman on Friday at the G20 summit.

The Crown Prince was seen chatting with US President Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka and shaking hands with French President Emmanuel Macron at the start of a two-day meeting of the world's top economies here.

Prince Muhammad and Russian President Vladimir Putin both grinned broadly and shook hands robustly as leaders converged for a group photo. British Prime Minister Theresa May also said she would meet Prince Muhammad.

Prince Muhammad met South Korean President Moon Jae-in and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto on the sidelines of a G20 summit.

Earlier in the day, Prince Muhammad met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and told him about plans to scale up investments in India's tech, farm and energy sectors.

The two leaders met in the prince's residence in Buenos Aires and discussed Saudi Arabia's readiness to supply India with oil and petroleum products.

The Crown Prince told Modi he would soon be finalizing an initial investment in India's National Investment and Infrastructure Fund, a quasi-sovereign wealth fund, to help accelerate the building of ports, highways and other projects. — AFP
