Saeed cracks third consecutive ton

MADINAH — Powered by a third consecutive century by Hammad Saeed, Crown Steel defeated Kamboh XI in the SCC T20 Challenge Cup 2018 here.

Saeed put up a blistering performance, slamming 110 off just 40 deliveries with 11 fours and 5 sixes alongside Ali Khan who scored 24 to help his team put on 210-9. Muzammil took 4 wickets and Mahir 3. In reply, Kamboh was all out for 158. Mahir scored 42 and Abdul Rahman 27. Qasim Butt took 4 wickets and Ali Khan 2.

In second match, Madni Stars opted to bat first against My Care & Hala. Miraj Alam played well for his 102 off 47 deliveries to help his team post 199-7. Sibtain and Tauseef took a couple of wickets. In reply, MCH chased down the total in the 12th over with 8 wickets in hand which saw Shuja blast 109 off 39 balls with 16 fours and 5 sixes.

The third match was between Pak Kashmir and Classic XI. Classic batted first and Arshad contributed 42 to help his team reach 166-8. Jahangir bowled well. In reply, Pak Kashmir managed 139-9. Fahad Bashir took 3 wickets, sported by Aftab.

In the fourth match, Shining Stars beat Madinah Tigers by 146 runs. Arslan scored 84 alongside Ali who blasted 70 to put on 234-5. In reply, Tigers were all out for 88. Arslan and Jahangir took 2 wickets each.

In the fifth match PRCC batted first against Pak Eagle. It managed 141-9 in 20 overs. Kareem Ullah bowled well, conceding just 14 runs for one wicket in 4 overs alongside Waseem who took 3 for 30. In reply, Pak Eagle chased down the total in 14 overs with 8 wickets in hand. Fiyyaz Chauhan scored 51 and Shakeel Arshad 40.
