King oversees signing of pacts with Tunisia

RIYADH
— Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Prime Minister Youssef Chahed of Tunisia oversaw signing of two loan agreements and a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Kingdom and Tunisia at a ceremony held at Al-Awja Palace in Diriyah, Riyadh on Thursday.

Ahmad Al-Khateeb, president of the board of Saudi Fund for Development, and Tunisian Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation Ziad Al-Athari signed loan agreement for implementing the second phase of the Integrated Agricultural Development Project in Joumin, Ghazala and Sijnan in Tunisia, and the loan agreement for the project of improving the supply of potable water in the rural area in the Tunisian governorate of Bizerte between SDF and Tunisia. A MoU was also signed under which Saudi Arabia will extend grant for maintenance of the King Abdulaziz Mosque in the Tunisian capital of Tunis, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Earlier, the King welcomed Chahed and his accompanying delegation. The King also hosted a luncheon banquet in honor of the Tunisian leader. Emir of Riyadh Prince Faisal Bin Bandar, Minister of Interior Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Saud Bin Naif, several other princes, ministers and senior officials from the Kingdom and Tunisia attended.
