JEDDAH — Maisram Star Football Club Jeddah (MSFCJ) rallied to beat Cuptain FC 2-1 in a thrilling final to win the Asaduddin Owaisi Cup Football Tournament, organized by Indian Sports and Cultural Forum (ISCF) here recently.
Cuptain FC was in the driver’s seat in the first half of the final after taking a 1-0 lead through Salman. Maisram, however, came back strongly in the second session by showing its grit and brilliance. It struck twice through Salman Al-Katheri and Naif Bin Madi to emerge champion. Emad Bin Shamlan, Sheehaab, Salman Amodi, Waleed Amodi and goalkeeper Mutahir were the other heroes of the match.
Captain and the senior-most player of Maisram, Omar Bouam, who had excelled in all the matches, unfortunately got injured in the final. But his replacement Fahad Dayani rose to the occasion. Maisram’s Imran Bahazaq, who was injured during the first round, also watched the game from the bench.
The other team members were: Hamza, Ismail, Mohammed Basaad, Abubaker Bin Siddique, Omer Bamasdoos, Rayyan Bamas, Ayman Amodi, Saleh Shoaib and Ayman Shoaib.
