NIFF holds ‘mela’ with fervor & fanfare

JEDDAH — The North India Fraternity Forum (NIFF) Jeddah, recently celebrated its annual get together NIFF Mela here with much fervor and fanfare. NIFF, a non-profit, non-political social group works for support of distressed workers and is involved in general charity for the needy.

Its members, got together in the NIFF MELA — or Fete theme, where members had put up snacks and game stalls for attendees to savor popular delicacies while children had fun at game stalls trying their skills. Proceeds from the stalls and activities were given in contribution to NIFF charity.

Sports and games were held for children and in house activities were done by members. These activities were in line with NIFF’s objectives to provide avenues for young children to participate in extra-curricular activities and to instill values of charity and social responsibility.

Niff President Iqbal welcomed the members and reiterated that activities of NIFF of charity and support to distressed expatriates of the region needs to be continued as it is a social and human responsibility.

Partons Zia Nadwi, Aziz Abdur Rub, Faizan Siddiui, and Mohd. Nooruddin appreciated the gathering and ensured their support to NIFF activities.

Children from the age of 5 onwards presented poetry songs and speech as part of kids talent show. Youngster Eshan Vikram Singh presented an inspiring speech.

NIFF also appreciated the book launch of another youngster and chef, Ajai Sharma, who committed the proceedings from 20 of his first book towards NIFF charity.

Prizes were given to performing children and those who contributed through snack and game stalls. Gift hampers were distributed by Himalaya herbals and JO Soap. The event was supported by Blue Rose travels and Muasaid travels. — SG
