The Ministry of Interior has announced that Saudi men and women may apply for the jobs of prison guards until Thursday, Dec. 27.

The ministry said the applications should be forwarded through the Absher platform www.jobs.sa

It said male applicants should not be less than 17 years of age or more than 30 and should have a height of not less than 170 cm.

The ministry said the applicants should be original Saudi nationals born and brought up in the Kingdom, should be well-behaved and should not have any criminal record.

«The applicants should not have worked before in any civilian or military position or dismissed from any military college,» it said.

The ministry said the applicants should not be married to non-Saudi women and should at least hold the secondary school certificate.

Concerning women applicants, the ministry said they should be between 25 and 35 years of age and must have a height not less than 164 cm.

It said the female applicants should have a secondary school certificate, pass the admission test to be held by the Directorate General of Prisons and agree to attend training in any city or town in the Kingdom, even if it is away from their hometown.

The ministry said the women applicants would have to attend a specialized training session in the work of prisons before being accepted as prison guards.
