Shamsuddin, Haroon, Khurram and Suraj excel

JEDDAH — Haroon of OMD Tuskers, Khurram Azeez of Timex Lothers and Shamsuddin Manjeri of Timex KKR cracked tons whereas all-rounder Suraj cracked 77 runs and claimed 4 wickets in the SCC Afternoon Challenge Cup, which is sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and managed by WPCA.

Stallions defeated Al-Hukma International by 10 wickets. Al-Hukma was restricted to 123-6. Farhan stroked 38 and Arif unbeaten 36 after it was tottering at 3-5. Talha took 2-19 and Wasif 2-22. Stallions made 124 for no loss in 56 balls. Abdulrehman scored an unbeaten 70 on 34 balls while Aqeel made 20 and the duo added 124 for the unbroken opening stand.

Abudawood downed Marine Services by 21 runs. Abu Dawood Trading piled up 180-6. Mohsin hammered 68 in 41 balls as he added 90 for the opening stand with Ali Shan (39). Akram grabbed 3-36.

Marine Services replied with 159 for 9 to lose by 21 runs. Akram hit 32 and Naeem 51. Luqman took 3-26 and Karimullah 2-32.

OMD Tuskers crushed Black Hawks by 105 runs. OMD Tuskers amassed 245-2. Haroon blasted 126 in 57 balls with 2 sixes and 14 fours as he first added 43 with Ashraf 21 and then 158 in 71 balls for the second wicket with Shahnawaz Khan who hammered 61 in 33 balls.

Black Hawks responded with 140-6. Arsalan hit 56 in 36 balls, Mohsin 26 and Rehan 22. Ahmed took 2-20.

Timex Lothers prevailed over Al-Hukma International by 59 runs. Timex Lothers plundered 200-4. Khurram Azeez smashed an unbeaten 103 in 59 balls with 2 sixes and 12 fours. He added first 44 with Shamsuddin Bantwal (15), 71 with Faisal 23 and then 62 with Suraj 26. Mustafa scalped 2-39.

Al-Hukma responded with 141-9. Salman stroked 52 in 33 balls and Mustafa 20. Shamsuddin took 2-2, Suraj 2-13 and Nazeer 2-32.

Timex KKR humbled Jotun Penguins by 10 wickets. Jotun Penguins could manage 156-4 despite a 107-run partnership by openers Rehan Mughal (47) and Siddique (58 in 43 balls). Shafeeq scored 21. Shafiq took 2-30.

Timex KKR, in chase, used 46 balls to reach 159 without loss. Shamsuddin Manjeri blasted an unbeaten 121 in mere 34 balls studded with 8 sixes and 15 fours. He stitched 159 with Shafeer (29 not out). Stallions beat Marine Services by 7 wickets. Marine Services crashed for 67. Tariq Saeed hit 21. Waqas bowled devastatingly to grab 4-10, Hassan Ali 3-14 and Talha 2-16.

Stallions reached 69-3 in 55 balls. Emad scored 21 and Abdulrehman 21. Akram took 3-19.

Timex Lothers had the last laugh against Marine Services by 14 runs. Timex Lothers piled up 159-7. Suraj remained unbeaten on 77 in 44 balls. He added 89 with Subeer (25) after they were in trouble at 54-6. Mohammed Shibu stroked 20. Akram took 2-36 and Asif 2-44.

Marine Services, in reply, was bowled out for 145. Marine Services had a fine start of 93 runs with Akram making 53 off 29 balls and Tariq Saeed hitting 38. Marines then folded for 145 after the openers departed. Suraj was the pick of the bowlers with 4-27, Abrar ul Haq took 2-39 and Shibu 2-19.

Jotun Penguins dominated Black Hawks by 19 runs. Jotun Penguins amassed 190-6. Majed Khan stroked 58 in 23 balls, Siddique 41 and Ali Ansar 20. Safwan took 2-27.

Black Hawks, in response, was restricted to 171. Qaiser scored 35 and Arsalan 33. Rehan Mughal claimed 3-24 and Majed Khan 3-39.

OMD Tuskers trounced Abudawood Trading by 7 wickets. Abudawood could manage 141-7. Aftab stroked 47 and Omar Mukhtar 28. Qasim scalped 2-27 and Shahnawaz 2-32.

OMD Tuskers reached 142-3 in 61 balls. Shahnawaz Khan hammered 62 in 23 balls to add 98 with Ashraf (46).
