RIYADH —
The small and medium healthcare establishments with less than 249 employees and up to 10 medical practitioners will be exempted from the fees for issuing or renewing licenses, according to an agreement signed here recently.

The agreement was signed by the General Authority for SMEs (Munshaat) and the Ministry of Health. Sami Al-Hussaini, deputy governor of Munshaat for planning and development, and Najla Katib, deputy chairperson of the ministry's creative center, signed the agreement.

Hussaini said the agreement was aimed at ensuring the continuity and sustainability of the small and medium health establishments within the government's support to entrepreneurs in the health sector.

"We aim to establish small and medium health facilities with high potentials to further develop the Kingdom's health sector," he added.

He said the agreement was aimed at defining challenges, signing the operational and consultancy contracts, determining the locations and knowing the targeted beneficiaries in each stage.

Hussaini said Munshaat would help boost the investments in the health sector to meet the needs of society.

"By this agreement, we are aiming at the creation of a diversified health environment, which will cater to the needs of all citizens," he explained.
