KHARTOUM — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has sent a Saudi ministerial delegation to the Republic of Sudan in solidarity with it in the face of current economic challenges, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said Friday.

Sudan President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir received, at the Guest House, the Saudi ministerial delegation including Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid Bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi; Minister of Transport Dr. Nabil Bin Muhammad Al-Amoudi and Minister of State for African Affairs Ahmed Bin Abdulaziz Qattan.

Al-Qasabi announced that the delegation's visit to Sudan falls in line with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to enhance economic relations with Sudan and increase trade exchange, revealing a clear plan of action, while laying grounds for subsequent visits by Saudi businessmen to Sudan.

He also explained that the King has reaffirmed that Sudan's security and stability meant the Kingdom's stability and stability as well.

Al-Qasabi stressed that the Kingdom has not, and will not, delay supporting Sudan and its people, in recognition of its position towards the Kingdom and the great role that has been played by the Sudanese people in enhancing the education process in Saudi Arabia.

He added that the Kingdom has provided more than SR23 billion worth loans for development projects in Sudan to promote ties of brotherhood and cooperation for the benefit of the two nations’ peoples — SR8 billions of which was awarded to Sudan in the last four years.
