What will be the fate of these girls when they discover that they have been lied to and exploited to turn them against their religion, country and society? Do we close our door before them forever?

I SUGGEST that we keep our door wide open before the young Saudi girls who have escaped from the country to return home.

These girls were tricked into fleeing their homeland by enemy countries. They found themselves being used as tools to defame Saudi Arabia and Saudi society. I call for opening the door for them to return home the same way we did to young Saudis who had been recruited by extremist groups.

I also call for opening the door for the opposition figures to return to the country and reintegrate in society, of course after they attend rehabilitation and education programs to correct their behavior and fix their faulty mindsets.

Society benefited when we brought back our young men from conflict zones and away from the eyes of extremist groups. The young Saudis who returned home exposed the methods being used to lure them and trick them into becoming traitors. They were exploited emotionally, taking advantage of their social situations and by using all means of contact, including social media.

This same method was used again to lure teenage Saudi girls, who are convinced that a good life is waiting for them abroad if they escaped from their families and abandoned their country. They were put under heavy psychological pressure.

The Saudi young men at the end did not have any place other than their homeland to return to after they discovered that they had been treading the wrong path. The picture became clear when they began talking about their experience. They revealed the truth to everyone.

We need to benefit from the same experience when it comes to the girls who escaped abroad by exposing the countries and organizations that are hostile to Saudi Arabia because of political reasons, not because of humanitarian considerations.

What will be the fate of these girls when they discover that they have been lied to and exploited to turn them against their religion, country and society? Do we close our door before them forever? Do we close the door of the country on their faces? Or do we give them hope and another chance to return to their families, parents and the warmth of the country?

They should return to their own society, which guaranteed them true freedom that is governed by our religious values. They will return to their senses once the foggy picture becomes clear. This foggy picture was formed because they were in a difficult period of their life when they were undergoing psychological and physiological changes, which contributed to them taking the wrong decision to escape from the the country. They were lured like the ones before them, talking about freedom and painting a rosy picture about the life ahead of them. End of the day, they were left to fend for themselves and their future became uncertain.

Let us think positively on how to cure this cancer, which our enemies want to inject our society with. Let us turn the table on them and foil their dirty attempts by opening the door before our teenagers so that they can come back to their country. We need to hold dialogue with them and convince them to return home by guaranteeing their safety. We need to eliminate their fear of family and security authorities.
